Staying at Buddha View Hostel gives you direct access to one of the most respected dive schools on Koh Tao — Buddha View Dive Centre, a PADI 5-Star Career Development Centre with over 25 years of experience.

Our PADI Open Water Diver Course is the perfect way to discover scuba diving and become a certified diver. The training takes just 2.5 days, and the schedule is flexible to suit your travel plans.

Course Overview

Before You Start:

Complete your PADI eLearning online in the language of your choice — before or during your stay. This allows you to focus on the practical, in-water training once you arrive.

Day 1

• Start time: 09:00

• Confined water training in the pool (learn basic scuba skills in a safe setting)

• Lunch break

• 1 open water dive at a local dive site

• Finish around 15:00

Day 2

• Start time: 09:00

• Continue skill development

• 1 open water dive in the afternoon

• Finish around 15:00

Day 3

• Start time: 07:30

• Meet at the dive centre and join the boat

• Complete your final 2 open water dives in 2 different beautiful dive sites

• Return by 13:00​

All in-water training takes place at Buddha View Dive Centre, located at Tanote Bay, and different Dive Sites of Koh Tao by our boat.
