Already certified? Take it deeper. The Advanced Open Water course adds five adventure dives over two days, so you build real skills and unlock more of Koh Tao.
Two dives are set: a deep dive to a maximum of thirty metres and an underwater navigation dive. You choose the other three from options like wreck, peak performance buoyancy, night and fish identification, each one guided by an instructor.
It opens up the island's deeper sites and night dives, and it is the natural step before Rescue Diver and Divemaster. Short on time? It pairs neatly with the Open Water course into one longer package.
What you need
Bring your Open Water certification card, or proof of an equivalent qualification: it is required to join. Pack a swimsuit, a towel, reef-safe sunscreen and two consecutive days.
Junior divers can start from age 12. You complete a medical questionnaire, and as with every course you should not fly for 18 to 24 hours after your last dive, so leave a buffer before you travel on.
